Wedding Reception Venues Washington DC with Teatime Catering
Teatime Delicacies, Inc. has traveled from Washington DC to Northern Virginia over the course of summer 2014, and what a crazy summer it has been weather wise! And here we are in September when the temperatures should be cooling off, and it’s more summer like than any day during July. The above wedding cake was featured at Old Town Hall.
We did multiple events this year at Old Town Hall in Fairfax City, Virginia www.weddingsinfairfax.com
Always a popular venue for a wedding reception as the ceremony can take place on the upper level while the reception takes place on the lower level with a grand room with soaring windows, wooden beams and wood floors.

No matter how hot or cold the weather might be outside, nothing pleases a crowd like chilled shrimp cocktail – it’s one of those super foods that transcends the decades.
Speaking of summer menu ideas, I can never get enough of those golden grape tomatoes sold at every local Farmer’s Market in the Northern Virginia area.
Here I have sauteed the tomatoes slightly until they burst along with fresh basil, garlic and olive oil. We served this over a Butternut Squash Ravioli. It was superb!
So down the road we traveled back in to Washington DC to one of our favorite wedding reception venues St. Francis Hall www.myfranciscan.org
Catering a wedding reception this past August for nearly 200 was exciting with appetizer selections of Gazpacho Shooters; Silver Dollar Crab Cakes with Roasted Red Bell Pepper Sauce; Spanekopita; and Manchego Tappas.
The bar is set up off to the side of the main ballroom for a perfect spot to grab a glass of chilled Pinot Grigio or a frosty beer. The majority of Teatime clients provide their own alcohol and we provide the non alcoholic beverages as well as the bartender(s) to serve. This can be a significant savings for our clients as you can purchase exactly what you want for alcohol, and sometimes even return unopened cases of wine or beer. Whenever you rent a venue in Washington DC you will need to purchases a one day permit from the ABC board.
There was the briefest of escapes for Ruth and her husband to Maine in mid August. I think this photograph captures it all.
Lobster Roll for lunch with my brother Chris, and kick ass Sweet Potato Fries. It just doesn’t get. any. better.
Looking forward to a great fall line up with wedding receptions at Harbour View in Woodbridge, Old Town Hall in Fairfax, Sherwood Center in Fairfax VA, Top of the Town, Hendry House in Arlington VA to mention a few.
Remember to eat well!
