Wedding Catering in Prince George’s County, Maryland – Teatime Delicacies, Inc.

The Great Room at Laurel-Beltsville Senior Activity Center

This past weekend Teatime Delicacies, Inc. had the opportunity to cater a wedding reception at a newly built venue in Prince George’s County Maryland, right outside of Washington DC.  The Great Room at the Laurel-Beltsville Senior Activity Center www.pgelgantsettings.com 
The Center is a state-of-the-art facility built on six acres.  The Great Room is available for rentals and seats up to 225 people comfortable.  It is well appointed and features a platform stage, sound system, catering warming kitchen (!!!) and a fireside lounge where your guests can relax and mingle.
It is in that lovely lounge where the wedding guests gathered for the cocktail hour and enjoyed appetizers that included Assorted Domestic and Imported Cheeses and Crackers; Spanekopita (a Greek turnover made with phyllo pastry and filled with feta cheese with spinach); and Assorted Bruschetta with toppings to include Tomato Basil, Thai Spiced Seafood Salad, and Chutney Chicken Salad.

 The main buffet was inside the Great Room, with Ruth’s House Salad; Grilled Indonesian Chicken on Bamboo Skewers with Peanut Dipping Sauce; Carved Steamship Round of Beef; Garlic Roasted Red Bliss Potatoes; Linguine with Sun Dried Tomatoes-Cilantro-Parmesan; Fresh Fruit Arrangement.

 The bride and groom of course saved room for one of Ruth’s fabulous wedding cakes, a three tier cake alternating flavors of Yellow Butter with Fresh Raspberries and Carrot Cake with Cream Cheese Filling – topped with fresh flowers.
