Well it goes without saying Becky Ruth was a stunning bride.  This is my niece, my namesake.  She wanted a wedding cake by her Aunt Ruth.  She told me her dress was shimmery (indeed!!) and wanted an ivory cake with a shimmer effect.  I used an edible pearl luster to give the cake a satin finish.  Her cake top, as well as her spectacular bouquet was designed by Monica Berlin of Bud Floral Design (www.budfloraldesign.com) and incorporated trinkets from Becky’s childhood.  I personally gave Monica several buttons from my own Aunt Eva’s button collection as I am named after my aunt as well, Ruth Eva.  The ceremony as well as the reception was held at Old Town Hall in historic Fairfax City, VA (www.fairfaxva.gov/parksrec/oldtownhall.asp).  Miss Beck has waited a long time to find the love of her life, Ty, and it was with tremendous joy to see them finally tie the knot amongst friends and family.
