Surrounded by 26 acres of wooded park land, The Lodge at Little Seneca Creek is a natural venue for a wedding reception. The handsome log cabin with it’s cathedral ceilings and towering wood-burning fireplace can host as many as 120 guests for dinner and dancing, 135-200 standing cocktail style. The two large exterior wooden decks offer your guests breathtaking views of the expansive lawn and rolling hills. The 30 x 60 Seneca Tent is available for rent April through October. It features a flagstone tent pad and beautiful patio area. The tent can seat 120 for dinner and dancing.
Friday’s wedding held the ceremony outside with the reception being held in the main lodge’s dining room. As this was a wedding reception with 80 guests, there was ample room for the table set up and dancing. The room has a rustic and warm ambiance with an abundance of natural lighting.
The bride and groom opted to sit at a sweetheart table set up in front of the enormous fireplace. In the winter months the clients are allowed to burn wood logs to provide a charming backdrop to the dance floor. While the ceremony could also take place inside the venue, the weather this October day was so delicious their ceremony took place outside overlooking the expansive acreage.
Decorating in the fall colors allows so many different possibilities. The bride and groom took advantage of all the gold and orange hues for their customized table settings.
The menu tipped it’s hat toward an autumnal theme as well with a passed appetizer of Roasted Butternut Squash Shooters; Baked Brie in Puff Pastry and French bread; Silver Dollar Salmon Cakes with Roasted Red Bell Pepper Sauce. The buffet luncheon featured Grilled Sesame Flank Steak on Skewers; Chicken Marabella; Wild Rice Pilaf; Fresh Fruit Arrangement; and a Fresh Vegetable Basket with Hollowed Cabbage Filled with Dip.
This show stopping basket featured a rare discovery: Purple Cauliflower!
The bride provided cupcakes in lieu of a wedding cake, and Teatime Delicacies provided Sliced Apple Wedges with a choice of Caramel Sauce or Chocolate Fudge Sauce.
Followed by lots of dancing, great drink and warming skies. Congratulations Stacey and Mike!!
