This past Saturday Catering By Teatime was fortunate to cater a lovely wedding reception at St. Francis Hall, part of the Franciscan Monastery in Washington DC. According to their website,
St. Francis Hall is a charming facility adjacent to the beautiful
Franciscan Monastery in the quiet Brookland neighborhood of northeast
Washington, DC (conveniently located near Catholic University and the
Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception).
Built in 1931 and featuring romantic Renaissance architecture, St.
Francis Hall offers a rare combination of classic beauty and modern
amenities. The Hall can accommodate 250 people for wedding receptions,
banquets and meetings on weekends and weekdays. Ample, free parking is
available for all events – a rarity for city venues.
Business clients will especially appreciate St. Francis Hall’s
outstanding sound system and large 12×12 projection screen.
Presentations can be conducted from a large stage with the cordless
microphones that are provided. Arrangements can be made from a list of
recommended caterers to bring in anything from a box lunch to a full
catered meal.
St. Francis Hall is an especially beautiful setting for wedding
receptions and other social events. The Hall’s high ceilings, romantic
lighting and elegant ballroom chairs help create a stunning atmosphere.
The Monastery’s beautiful gardens and grounds make an especially scenic
backdrop for bridal party photographs.”

It is indeed a stunning ballroom with soaring ceilings and polished hard wood floors, this venue is a hidden gem for Washington DC catering. Our guests were greeted by bartender Natasha with a full bar of mixed drinks, wines and beers.

St. Francis is a marvelous venue for a wedding reception. We had a brief respite from the rain and enjoyed mild temperatures as guests enjoyed the party inside and outside on the covered porch.
