Spring Wedding Venue Cabell’s Mill Centreville VA
Stunning sunset at Cabell’s Mill in Centreville VA |
Imagine walking outside during a wedding reception and seeing this sunset? Our man Gio caught this stunning photo while catering an event last year at Cabell’s Mill www.fairfaxcounty.gov/parks/hprs/cabells.htm.
According to the Fairfax County Park Authority website, “located in the wooded acres of Ellanor C. Lawrence Park, Cabell’s Mill has long been a unique setting for social occasions. Built prior to 1800 and operated as a mill until 1916..transformed into a guest house and hosted many Washington DC notables, including Franklin and Eleanor Roosevelt. Today, Cabell’s Mill offers a spacious room with hardwood floors, deep window sills and a working fireplace. On the lower level is a smaller room with an antique buffet table and fireplace, while outside an expansive terrace overlooks Big Rocky Run. The Mill provides a beautiful secluded setting for many special occasions.”
Wedding Ceremony on Back Patio of Cabell’s Mill |
Tenting the back stone patio provides an additional space for ceremony or cocktail hour. I often suggest renting additional bistro tables to scatter about the terrace if the event will have limited table seating. We also offer our “Heavy Appetizer Menu” at Cabell’s as it is basically a utensil free menu that works very well when there is only partial table seating.
We typically utilize the upstairs for guest seating, and serve the buffet meal on the antique buffet table.

We have set up our beautiful wedding cakes in the upper level near one of the deep window sills.
