Catering By Teatime makes healthy menu ideas for vegetarians easy and beautiful. All of our buffet style menus feature our Fresh Fruit Arrangement with Seasonal Fruits. In the Washington DC metropolitan area we are able to access year round fresh pineapple, honeydew melon, cantaloupe, papaya, assorted berries as well as whole pomegranate. Staff creations are a work of art! We leave the fruit displays available on the buffet long after the meal has finished so guests can munch on the fresh slices throughout the remainder of the wedding reception. After a spin on the dance floor, a nosh of fruit is refreshing.

Kale Slaw Appetizer
Don’t be afraid of the K word! Marinated baby kale, red cabbage, Napa cabbage, leeks, carrot shavings, green apples, cranberries lightly dressed in a citrus-soy vinaigrette is an explosion of flavors and textures. Served in a 3 ounce cup with fork, and it’s the perfect passed appetizer that is not only vegetarian, it’s vegan and gluten free. Bonus points for being beautiful!
Caprese Skewers
No one can resist the perfect bite of fresh mozzarella, tomato and basil. During the summer months our local Northern Virginia farmer’s markets provide a caterer with abundant and succulent tomatoes and fresh basil. Add a drizzle of olive oil and sea salt and you have the perfect jewel of flavor. Another great vegetarian option. At the height of tomato season we love to prepare Gazpacho Shooters featuring local produce roasted, chilled and puréed into soup served in shot glasses…
