Victoria’s Fruit Display with Catering By Teatime

“One
of Teatime’s most beloved staffers, Victoria, was married this past October. Catering By Teatime catered her Hawaiian themed couple’s shower. We wanted
to do something special with our fruit display, something crafted
especially for the bride and groom. This spectacular fruit arrangement
features fresh pineapple, papaya, strawberries, cantaloupe melon,
honeydew melon, fresh coconuts, and radish orchids made from daikon
radishes. The bride and groom were to honeymoon in Maui, so the menu
reflected the islands with Hula Hula Chicken Thighs, Coconut Shrimp, A
Mixed Green Salad w/ Fresh Mango and Raspberry Vinaigrette, and
appetizers that featured Ruth’s Tropical Salsa w/ Tortilla Chips. The
bride was radiant (as always)!”

We originally posted this photo in 2007.  Vicki now has two beautiful children.  And Fresh Fruit Arrangements are one of Catering By Teatime’s signature buffet items.  

Fresh Fruit Arrangements

 When we cater a wedding reception here in Washington DC and Northern Virginia, there is always a Fresh Fruit Arrangement on the buffet.  We are blessed in this area to have access to an abundance of seasonal fruits and vegetables from our local farmer’s markets as well as grocers who carry more exotic options year round.

Fresh Fruit Arrangement

 Our Northern Virginia Farmer’s Markets provide not only succulent ruby red watermelons, but also yellow and orange watermelons as well.  Blackberries, strawberries, black raspberries and golden raspberries.  We leave the fruit display on the buffet long after the meal is complete; guests can stroll by and pick up a piece during the remainder of the reception.  During our warm summer months here in Washington DC, it is a refreshing after dinner treat.  A perfect sweet companion to our wedding cakes. Plus it is just so very pretty!
