Dessert Party Ideas with Teatime Catering
Cream Cheese Brownie Bites |
A fantastic idea for a smaller scale catered event is hosting a Dessert Menu Party. This is the perfect menu for an open house, employee appreciation day, a graduation, or even a simple wedding reception without all the bells and whistles of a full meal. And who doesn’t love something sweet? Add a glass of sparkling wine or an array of non alcoholic beverages and you will have a room full of very content guests.
New York Cheesecake with Raspberry Sauce |
When we cater this type of event in the Washington DC area, we cut the dessert portions into 1-2 bite portions. This way guests can enjoy a variety of options and not be stuck with one full portion of New York Style Cheesecake. Somehow eating smaller portions just doesn’t seem so indulgent!
Heart Shaped Butter Cookies |
Make a point of serving something with Chocolate, Butter, Nuts, Fruit. If someone has an allergy, they won’t be deprived of an alternate dessert. Providing labels for each of the desserts is also a great idea. Adding a Gluten Free option is also a great idea.
Chocolate Drizzled Fruit |
It’s nice to also serve some fresh fruit in a display for people who are watching their calories, or just want something a bit lighter. We typically offer melons, fresh pineapple, papaya along with seasonal berries.
Fresh Fruit Display |
This type of event is perfect with a glass of champagne, sparkling wine, or Prosecco. A non alcoholic option could be a variety of iced teas and/or coffee. We also prepare a Citrus Fruit Punch that we serve at many wedding receptions.
Chocolate Fudge Truffles |
One of our most requested menu items is our Chocolate Fudge Truffle: otherwise known as “Death Balls”. This recipe includes cream, chocolate, butter and a splash of raspberry liquor. They are then rolled in cocoa. A little bite of heaven. As in Died and Went to Heaven. Bonus point: they are gluten free!!
These are a few of the desserts Teatime Delicacies, Inc can provide. Contact us for a full dessert menu, or set up a meeting to discuss and brainstorm your own sweet ideas.
