Northern Virginia Chocolate Wedding Cakes – Teatime Catering
Chocolate Fudge Truffles |
Teatime has a long running love affair with our Chocolate Fudge Truffles. Many years ago a client referred to them as “Death Balls” and we have called them this ever since. A decadent blast of chocolate-butter-cream packed into such a tiny bite! You can try making these yourself on a small scale by boiling down 1/2 cup heavy cream till 1/4 cup. Add 6 ounces semi sweet chocolate of your choice, 4 TB of salted butter cut into small pieces, and the several tablespoons of liquor for flavoring is completely up to you. Today I used Amaretto, but other great additions include any orange liquor, Kahlua, hazelnut, or even Coconut Rum? Pour into a shallow dish and refrigerate until hard (or overnight), then scoop into little nuggets with a melon baller. I roll them in unsweetened cocoa to give it a different visual coloring, and the bitter tang of the cocoa is fabulous against the chocolate truffle. Just. So. Good.
But wait, there has to be more, yes?

Sorry, unable to say that in non all capped language. To be fair, there were white chocolate brownies, chocolate fudge truffle brownies, red velvet brownies, peanut butter brownies. Insanely delish.
And yet, there is indeed more chocolate things…
See, this one’s really healthy!!! Fresh Pineapple slices and Fresh Strawberries, drizzled with chocolate. How can that possibly bad?
And then, there is still more…
