Catering By Teatime enjoyed the spectacular views at a wedding atop the Top of The Town overlooking Washington DC. As stated on their homepage,

Ceremony at Top of the Town
The wedding ceremony took place inside the ballroom set up by Teatime’s catering staff. On a non sweltering hot day the ceremony can also take place on the rooftop patio adjacent to the reception room. Then the guests can gather for the cocktail hour either in the reception room or spill out onto the patio for drinks.
It was a very warm August afternoon so guests were mesmerized by the ever changing weather pattern, from sunny skies to clouds and then to thunder and lightening. After the storm passed, there were even rainbows!

The Menu
During the cocktail hour, the catering staff passed Bacon Wrapped Dates as well as Assorted Bruschetta with Toppings to include Tomato Basil, Herb Cheese, and Thai Spiced Seafood.

There was also a stationary appetizer table that included Assorted Domestic and Imported Cheeses with Pepperoni, Crackers and Rice Crackers. The display was rounded out with a Fresh Vegetable Basket with Hollowed Cabbage filled with Dip.
The Buffet
The main buffet included Ruth’s House Salad of Mixed Greens, Tomato, Scallion, Dried Cranberry, Pecans, Gorgonzola Cheese in a Balsamic Vinaigrette. Teatime also included Grilled Indonesian Chicken on Bamboo Skewers with Peanut Dipping Sauce plus Carved Steamship Round of Beef. Side Dishes included Penne Pasta with Sun Dried Tomato, Cilantro and Parmesan; Garlic Roasted Red Bliss Potatoes; Fresh Fruit Arrangement with Seasonal Fruits; and a Fresh Bread and Roll Basket.
The Cake
Ruth has catered a lot of weddings over the years, catering throughout Washington DC, Virginia and Maryland. The wedding cake for Top of the Town was a stunner even after all these years.
White Chocolate Wedding Cake
Three tiers of Chocolate Fudge Cake with a Salted Caramel Filling (I’m drooling just writing this…) served 130 guests. It was a sweet finish to a wonderful event.
