The Rehearsal Dinner
Teatime kicked things off on a Friday evening with a catered rehearsal dinner in one of the smaller rooms at the venue. We served a plated dinner with Cesar Salad as the first course followed by Fried Chicken (groom’s favorite!), Citrus Glazed Salmon, Miniature Baked Mac ‘N Cheese with Panko Topping, Fresh Fruit and Whole Green Beans.
Fried Chicken for Dinner |
For dessert guests enjoyed both Apple Bavarian Tort as well as individual Creme Brulee.
Vegetarian option was a Wild Mushroom Tart.==
But Wait…There’s More..
The wedding reception was the following day held inside the Fox Den dining room. A simply marvelous addition was an ensemble of rented vintage furniture set up in one corner of the dining room. It was unique and colorful, the guests enjoyed hanging out all evening, and it set this wedding reception apart with a whimsical touch.

The Reception
The menu started off with appetizers of Assorted Domestic Imported Cheeses with Crackers; Quesadilla Wedges with Salsa; Apple Wood Sugar Spiced Smoked Salmon Filet with Crackers; and of course our now infamous Miniature Chicken and Waffles.
Anita created another fruit masterpiece (no surprise there)
Fresh Fruit Arrangement |
The menu also included Ruth’s House Salad of Mixed Greens, Tomato, Scallion, Pecans, Dried Cranberry in a Balsamic Vinaigrette; Chicken Marsala; Fresh Bread Basket (bunny ears for the fruit); and the finishing show stopper: Prime Rib.
The bride and groom were dog lovers, as shown in the cake top of their wedding cake.
Three Tier Satin Ribbon Wedding Cake |
Ruth created a three tier Satin Ribbon Cake with alternating flavors of Chocolate Fudge with a Raspberry Filling and Yellow Butter with a Strawberry Filling. The wedding cake was set up next to the bride and groom’s head table and “lounge”.
Head Table for Bride and Groom |
I could not ask for nicer clients, waking up to a weddingwire review just three days after the wedding reception..”Ruth is amazing! We loved her professionalism and her food so much that
we booked her directly after our tasting and canceled our other
appointments. We’re so glad we did! Five stars all around, she exceeded
our every expectation. Everyone loved her food, and honestly she’s a joy
to work with. Her staff is amazing, and Ruth will do everything she can
to make your wedding day run flawlessly. She’s a true professional and
has such a wealth of knowledge – her advice on various aspects of
wedding planning was indispensable. Hire Ruth – you’ll be in very
capable hands, and you and your guests will eat delicious food.”
