While all of the Washington DC Metropolitan area, including Northern Virginia and surrounding Maryland Suburbs were a swirling in the foreboding Snowpocalypse, Teatime Delicacies, Inc. cheerfully soldiered on catering an event at St. Francis Hall – the charming event space adjacent to the beautiful Franciscan Monastery. Built in 1931 and featuring romantic Renaissance architecture, the hall offers a rare combination of classic beauty and modern amenities.

Serving a luncheon reception for 200 guests, our catered menu included the above Fresh Fruit Arrangement with Seasonal Fruits; Hot Crab and Artichoke Dip; Jumbo Shrimp Cocktail; Roast Pepper Beef on Toasts with Cabernet Chipotle Cream; Fresh Vegetable Baskets with Red Bell Pepper Hummus; Assorted Domestic and Imported Cheeses and Crackers; Finger Sandwiches includes Smoked Turkey Breast and Chutney Chicken Salad; and of course our famous Grilled Indonesian Chicken on Bamboo Skewers.

The dining room can accommodate up to 250 guests, and ideal venue for a wedding reception that features the scenic Monastery grounds a beautiful backdrop for photographs. There are TWO adjacent parking lots, a rarity for a Washington DC venue.

For dessert we set up a separate table featuring Teatime’s famous delicacies:
Ruth’s Apple Bavarian Torte: vanilla cookie crust with cheesecake layer, apples, cinnamon and pecans. DELISH!! Also serving a display of Brownie Bites and NY Cheesecake with Raspberry Sauce.
So while the weather outside was frightful, inside it was all delightful!!
