Sarah and Mark |
Entrance to Middleburg Community Center |
This past weekend we had the honor of catering the wedding reception of Sarah and Mark at the Middleburg Community Center in Middleburg VA www.middleburgcommunitycenter.com. As printed in their brochure, “…from auctions to birthday parties, dances to company meetings, holiday events to family reunions, the Middleburg Community Center has much to offer for any occasion. The Grand Ballroom hosts weddings, family parties, fund raisers, dances lectures and conferences.” It’s just a fantastic and hidden gem of a venue.
We set up place cards as guests enter the front door into a lovely marble and wood foyer.

There were several dietary restrictions with this menu, one being a gluten free bride. To accommodate her diet and a nod to the groom from New Orleans, our menu featured Jambalaya with Chicken, Andouille Sausage and Shrimp; Chicken Marabella, Tri Colored Cheese Tortellini with Al Fredo Sauce, Fresh Fruit Arrangement, Ruth’s House Salad, Green Beans with Almonds.
For appetizers we served a Cheese Display with Rice Crackers.

Heartfelt thanks from the gracious Mother of Bride, “Thank you, thank you, thank you! We are grateful and truly appreciate all you did to make Sarah and Mark’s wedding reception wonderful. All of the family had a wonderful time. We received many compliments on the delicious food, the ‘most delicious wedding cake’ they had ever had, and the kindness and friendliness of your staff. The wedding cake was beaut9ful. Everything was beautiful staged and set up, and went smoothly. All through the planning process you have been so helpful and willing to work with our special circumstances, altering your normal procedures to allow for our dietary, health and budget issues. In spite of these many obstacles, you graciously worked them all out. In addition, even though we were not able to be a client with the means for a more expansive menu, you have never made us feel less valuable or never have been condescending in all our meetings.”
As the bride was gluten intolerant, a gluten free cake was provided by the family so they could still do the cake cutting ceremony.
“Thank you again for everything. We appreciate all of your talents and efforts, and had a beautiful event with your services.”
We hope to be on the recommended caterers list at the venue, and we certainly hope to be back again soon!
