Briar Patch Bed and Breakfast in Middleburg VA  www.briarpatchbandb.com/ was the setting for Saturday night’s wedding reception.  The plan for the ceremony in the meadow was scrapped due to 1,000% humidity, and we held the ceremony in the main ballroom, them flipped the room as shown above to hold the reception.  Guests enjoyed the cocktail hour in the adjoining Fox rooms just outside the main ballroom. The bride was vegetarian so one of the entrees was a heavenly tri colored cheese tortellini in a lush al fredo sauce and blanched broccolini.
For their cake, yellow butter with fresh strawberry filling, the top was the bride’s parent’s original cake topper.  The bride’s colors were purple, so we accented the wedding cake with a purple satin ribbon, had purple runners at each guest table.  It is a beautiful venue in Virginia horse country.
