Catering in Leesburg VA – Ida Lee Rec Center

Saturday we catered a wedding reception at the Ida Lee Recreation Center in Leesburg VA www.idalee.org/ .  According to their website, “the Loudoun County center provides a variety of programs, facilities and services to meet your recreation and leisure needs…Our banquet and meeting rooms provide the perfect setting for meetings, parties, weddings and more.”  I was surprised to find the banquet room had a full catering kitchen (YAY!!!) adjacent to the room making food prep a breeze. 

Saturday’s wedding easily accommodated 100 guests plus dance floor.  The venue provides all the tables and chairs, and has a lovely patio with hanging plants just off to the side of the room.

During the gathering hour guests munched on appetizers that includes Quesadilla Wedges, Assorted Domestic and Imported Cheeses and Crackers, and Baked Artichoke-Parmesan-Spinach Dip w/ French bread.  The buffet reception menu included Carved Roast Beef Station, Grilled Indonesian Chicken on Bamboo Skewers, Fresh Fruit Arrangement, and a client favorite:  Garlic Roasted Red Bliss Potatoes!  And of course, awesome wedding cake!

The venue was very flexible with how early the client/vendors could access the room and decorate, parking was also ample.  It was a beautiful June afternoon, and the grounds are lovely to explore.
 
Congratulations to the lucky bride and groom, Amy and Rob, who are sunning themselves on the beach in Maui as I type this!  Best of luck in all you do.
