Saturday night’s wedding reception was incredible at the George Washington Masonic Temple in Alexandria VA www.gwmemorial.org/ The venue has a spacious ballroom with vaulted ceilings and marble pillars. The bride and groom had a live 9 piece salsa band for dancing, and in the top photo we have the bride and groom dancing on TOP of the tables at midnight!! The menu was just as much fun. Our Peruvian groom gave me a special recipe for Arroz Con Pollo with Salsa Creole (the Salsa Creole in above photo) made with boneless chicken thigh, onion, garlic, MUCH cilantro, onion, chicken stock and dark beer. The Salsa Creole is a marinated red onion served along side the chicken. The Carved Roast Beef station featured a Chipotle Cabernet Cream on the side. The guests had Ruth’s House Salad as a plated first course, and the buffet menu was filled out with Fresh Fruit Arrangement, Green Beans, and Pesto Tri Colored Cheese Tortellini. We served two signature drinks during the cocktail hour, Cosmopolitans as well as the very popular Mojito! We had music ringing in our ears long after this party ended!
