Once again we are experiencing the Winter That Will Not End! While the temperatures on this early March Sunday were mild enough, the grounds were still in that muddy spring state of mind. There are multiple spots on the ground for a wedding ceremony, with guests on the lawn facing the front door of the venue, or my favorite…
With this magnificent tree and shrubbery in the background. Not exactly sure what the species is, but it was commanding and a perfect photo op. The bride and groom opted to do a standing room only ceremony inside on the staircase with their guests gathered in the foyer. Later the second landing served as a spot for the DJ, and the dancing took place in the foyer after the buffet was cleared.

While the wedding party had their post ceremony photographs, the guests enjoyed a cocktail hour in the above space. Appetizers featured An Assortment of Domestic and Imported Cheeses and Crackers; Wild Mushroom Tart; Shooters of Roasted Butternut Squash and Corn Chowder, perfect for a cool spring afternoon.
The buffet menu featured Grilled Jamaican Jerk Chicken on Bamboo Skewers; Carved Steamship Round of Beef; Garlic Roasted Red Bliss Potatoes; Ruth’s House Salad of Mixed Greens, Tomato, Scallion, Pecans, Dried Cranberry, Gorgonzola in a Balsamic Vinaigrette

As well as our classic Fresh Fruit Arrangement with Seasonal Fruits:

The guests were seated in two rooms each side of the stairwell and foyer, with the bar in between.

And of course no wedding reception that Ruth MacBean caters would be complete without one of Teatime Delicacies, Inc. famous wedding cakes!
Three tier, White Chocolate Curls. Yellow Butter Cake with Hazelnut Cream Filling, and Chocolate Fudge Cake with Fresh Raspberry Filling were the two alternating flavors. Yum and more Yum.
Congratulations to the beautiful and gracious bride and groom.
