Leaving our Northern Virginia community, Teatime Delicacies, Inc. catered a wedding reception last weekend at the Friendship Heights Community Center in Friendship Heights, MD. This neighborhood is tucked away just outside the Washington DC border along side Chevy Chase MD. www.friendshipheightsmd.gov
On a beautiful June afternoon 140 guests gathered in the main room for the cocktail and buffet reception.
The bride and groom chose a color palate of purple, lilac and yellow. We tied ribbons into bows around the napkins at each of the place settings.
The dining room is spacious enough to accommodate the guest tables, head table, bar, wedding cake, and dj.
During the cocktail hour guests enjoyed a fresh fruit arrangement with seasonal fruits, assorted bruschetta, and California and vegetarian sushi rolls.

Along with two signature cocktails: a Mohito, and a Key Lime Pie Martini. The Key Lime drink was made with Vanilla Vodka, Lime Juice, Simple Syrup, Half and Half – shaken an served in a martini glass that was dipped in crushed graham cracker crumb.

The head table was positioned against a bank of windows and doors over looking the venue’s courtyard with a fountain as a backdrop.
The catering buffet menu included Ruth’s House Salad; Grilled Indonesian Chicken on Skewers w/ Peanut Dipping Sauce; Carved Steamship Round of Beef; Garlic Roasted Red Bliss Potatoes;
Green Beans Martinique; Fresh Bread and Roll Basket.
The wedding cake shown above was Chocolate Fudge with Fresh Raspberry Filling, and Yellow Butter with Fresh Raspberry Filling. The colors and matching ribbon compliment their yellow and purple color scheme.
It was a DANCING crowd, and I believe the happy couple is enjoying their honeymoon as I type in beautiful Hawaii.
