Hard to follow up after looking at that photo, a stunning wedding cake covered in chocolate ganache and hand made chocolate curls and shavings. You could smell the chocolate from across the room. But first, let me give you a little background on his exceptional wedding reception held at St. John’s Parish Hall in Leesburg VA. Nearly a year ago we catered a wedding reception for Maggie and her groom. Most of my contact was with her Mom, Cathy. It was a great party and everyone had a marvelous time. Fast forward to late fall of last year. Cathy gave me a call asking if I could do the whole thing over again! My initial reply, “Awesome, I didn’t realize you had another daughter/son of marriage age” only to discover the bride was to be CATHY! I have been a caterer in the Washington DC and Northern Virginia community for over 30 years, but this was a first. Mother and daughter weddings in less than 1 year. Bonus points for Maggie who is expecting first child, so there were three generations on the dance floor that night. The menu included appetizers of Assorted Domestic and Imported Cheeses and Crackers; Baked Artichoke, Parmesan and Spinach Dip with French bread; Quesadilla Wedges with Salsa. The main buffet menu included Ruth’s House Salad; Grilled Indonesian Chicken on Bamboo Skewers with Peanut Dipping Sauce; Carved Steamship Round Of Beef:

Catering is a great gig. Being a part of a family’s most precious moments is priceless. I think this was one of the most special wedding receptions Catering By Teatime has created. Best of everything to Cathy and Steve.
