Teatime Delicacies – Best Catering Photo Ever!!! Washington DC.
“Care for a meatball?” |
Sometimes a photo opportunity just falls into your lap. Last week Teatime catered a wedding reception at the Reston Community Center www.restoncommunitycenter.com , we blogged about it previously in a post titled Catering in Reston. This week a 5-star review on www.weddingwire.com pops up in my e-mail inbox from the bride. It was a really sweet review, and we are always appreciative when someone takes the time to post.
I sent the bride a brief thank you, telling her she “Rocked!”
“No, Ruth, YOU ROCK!! Our guests were raving all night about the food, I thought they were going to stampede the buffet!” She also attached this photograph. Now the back story.
It is a fairly common scenario for the bridal party to be taken hostage during the post ceremony photographs! You really do not have much of a sense of time when all this is going on around you. I have had wedding parties completely miss out on the cocktail hour due to photographs. Because of this, I always make an effort to have one of my staff seek out the wedding party. In this case I said to my waiter, Gio, “go find them, I know they are starving. I have no idea where they might be, check the church next door or outside”. Well, he found them all right, and they were indeed hungry!
The best part of this photo for me is this: how much fun are these people having? They haven’t even hit the bar yet! With the bride’s permission, I have put this photo on my home page www.teatimeinc.com because this is what I want people to understand. It’s a wedding, it’s a party, the food of course will be fantastic. But more than anything, I want you to have a GREAT TIME!
Now get outside and enjoy the beautiful spring weather.
