This past weekend Teatime catered a marvelous wedding reception at Briar Patch Bed and Breakfast in Middleburg, VA www.briarpatchbandb.com . This is the wedding cake Ruth designed with an ivy theme. The leaves were hand cut and scored, placed upon the cake to create a vine like design. Yellow Butter w/ Strawberry Filling and Chocolate Fudge Cake w/ Raspberry Filling.

Briar Patch has a stunning dining room for a wedding reception. The venue provides all tables and chairs, and the crystal chandeliers are breathtaking! This was a reception for 140 guests but the venue can accommodate far more.
The ceremony took place on a splendid June afternoon, low 80 degrees, light humidity. The ceremony chairs were set up on the side of the main bed and breakfast for a tranquil backdrop.
The venue also provides all the ceremony chairs, so no outside rental necessary.

Teatime set up the main bar inside the Bronze Fox Room with a selection of red and white wines, beers, soft drinks and iced tea. Guests munched on Assorted Domestic and Imported Cheeses and Crackers, Baked Artichoke-Parmesan-Spinach Dip, Chilled Jumbo Shrimp Cocktail, and Silver Dollar Crab Cakes w/ Roasted Red Bell Pepper Sauce. After the cocktail hour, guests moved into the main ballroom for a buffet style dinner.
Grilled Indonesian Chicken on Skewers w/ Peanut Dipping Sauce; Ruth’s House Salad; Garlic Roasted Red Bliss Potatoes; Linguine w/ Cilantro, Sun Dried Tomato, and Parmesan; Carved Steamship Round of Beef with Au Jus; Fresh Fruit Arrangement and Breads.
One of the really cool things about this particular venue is many of the guests can stay right there at the bed and breakfast. They can also stay the night before the wedding, having their rehearsal dinner on the property. The Middleburg countryside is about as peaceful as it gets, and this past weekend’s weather was just about pitch perfect.
