This is a really cool venue with a lot of charm. You have the option of getting married on the upper level of the venue, a library that also serves as an art gallery for local artists. The venue rents out for multiple events from weddings, wedding receptions, art shows, community meetings, musical performances. Several years ago we catered a 50th wedding anniversary party here.

Beautiful wood floors and enormous windows allow ample light for a late summer afternoon ceremony. If a client opts to rent the upstairs for the duration of the reception, small café tables can be set up for guests to escape the music and have a few quiet moments away from the festivities.

Dining Room at Old Town Hall Fairfax City VA

We set up our bar in the foyer outside the main ballroom. The guest count for this wedding reception was just over 100, so 11-12 tables easily fit with 10 chairs per table. We have done events with nearly 150 guests, and break down tables for dancing. Saturday’s bride wanted a rustic theme to go with the wood and beamed dining room. We placed burlap runners on each of the tables, and tied the napkins with burlap twine.

Each table had a printed menu card describing the buffet menu of Grilled Jamaican Jerk Chicken, Carved Steamship Round of Beef, Bow Tie Pasta with Fresh Dill-Feta-Snow Peas, Garlic Roasted Red Bliss Potatoes, Fresh Fruit, and Ruth’s House Salad.
Appetizers includes a Table Display of Imported and Domestic Cheeses and Crackers, Smoked Salmon Roulades, Bruschetta and Stuffed Mushrooms with Herb Cheese and/or Spicy Sausage Fillings.
