Teatime Delicacies, Inc. ends 2013 on another great note! The parties, the wedding receptions, the anniversary parties, the birthday parties, the graduations: from high school, college AND seminary! The above picture sums it up the best: The Food and Fun! Teatime takes a stroll back through the past year highlighting something memorable from each month.
January. Normally this month is a sleeper. Not this time, Teatime catered it’s biggest event to date, a celebratory lunch/brunch for 350 at Northern Virginia Community College in Annadale Virginia. CRAZY amounts of food without a hitch. Personal best for Ruth.
February. This is ALWAYS a sleeper month in terms of actual events, the weather just too unpredictable here in the Mid Atlantic. But that doesn’t mean I am not taking care of other things.
Oh Wait, this is just me fantasizing it’s no longer winter….
March it’s back to parties. And this was a hum dinger.
Goose Creek Gardens and Pavilion in Ashburn VA, wedding reception for 250 in tent with crazy crazy temperatures in mid thirties in the adjoining caterer’s tent. What a night! Stunning tent! www.goosecreekgardens.org

April. Same group as the black and white photo on top. I adore this photo. My waiter, Gio, trying to locate the wedding party so they can have some appetizers while waiting to have photos taken. How much fun is this?! Reston Community Center in Reston VA. www.restoncommunitycenter.com
May. Teatime got to cater an event in a once in a lifetime space: The Castle at the Smithsonian Museum in Washington DC.
It was a graduation ceremony inside, but those thousands of chairs you see on the grass in front? Those were being set up for graduation the next day for George Washington University. It was pretty impressive! As was the Castle.
June. First time catering at Middleburg Community Center in Middleburg Va. Great venue with a great kitchen. Highly recommend the venue, right in the heart of the village. www.middleburgcommunitycenter.com
July. Well, aside from being incredibly hot as usual here in Washington DC, we slipped in some awesome Heirloom Tomato Basil Salads courtesy of the Northern Virginia Farmer’s Markets.
August. And hotter. Yet there are always the hardy couples who brave the heat and get married despite our national climate. Cabell’s Mills in Centreville Virginia. www.fairfaxcounty.gov/parks/hprs/cabells.htm
September. One of my favorite couples had the roof of their venue collapse weeks before their reception. They were able to find an availability for same date, miraculously, at Drainsville Tavern, in Drainsville VA. Here is their stunning wedding cake. www.fairfaxcounty.gov/drainsville.htm
October. This probably the most popular month in the Washington DC – Virginia- Maryland metropolitan area for wedding receptions. The weather is spectacular, the leaves are in in their fall foliage splendor. Everyone wants to be outside. One of the prettiest days of the fall this year was at the Inn at Little Seneca in Boyd’s Maryland.

November. Another brand new venue for Teatime, Harbour View in Woodbridge VA. Can’t wait to do more events at this stunning venue. www.harbourviewevents.com
December. Slowing down and time to reflect. This one is a little off topic, but a favorite nonetheless.
Christmas Eve 2013. Ruth and family celebrating life’s small and wondrous miracles.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all of Teatime’s past and future clients, you make my job one of the greatest gigs out there!
