Catering a Wedding Reception Winter Washington DC
woof. |
THAT got your attention didn’t it?!!!!
This lovely little girl was a resident attendant at the past weekend’s wedding reception held in a charming row house in Washington DC. The weather outside in the Washington Metropolitan area and Northern Virginia suburbs has been truly frightful, but inside this lovely home the party could not have been more delightful. Surrounded by 30 plus close friends and family, the bride an groom opted for a catered heavy appetizer menu and wine bar.
Vaulted ceilings and a crystal chandelier grace the intimate dining room. Candle lights provided the perfect touch of warmth on this frigid February evening. Our menu featured Grilled Garlic Lime Chicken on Bamboo Skewers; Marinated Roast Pepper Beef on Toasts with Chipotle Cabernet Cream; Fresh Seasonal Fruit Arrangement; Baked Artichoke, Parmesan and Spinach Spread with French bread; California and Vegetarian Sushi Rolls;
Area favorite: Silver Dollar Crab Cakes with Roasted Red Bell Pepper Sauce. We have recently added onto our menu a variation – Silver Dollar Salmon Cakes with a Pesto Mayo. Basically the same recipe using poached salmon instead of the crab meat. Delicious as well!
The bride and groom provided their own wedding cake, while Teatime Delicacies, Inc provided Chocolate Fudge Truffles, and a Valentine’s Day nod:
Becky adding a final touch
It’s all about the Butter baby! Butter Sugar Cookie Hearts, a perfect finish for the evening.
Teatime doesn’t often get to cater a smaller wedding reception inside a private residence, so this was an extra treat. I can’t think of a single thing we could have added that would have made this menu even more perfect….except….well maybe one thing….
Technically these were for a birthday treat the next day, but nothing like a Red Velvet Whoopie Pie to push all things over the top!! Bon Appetit!!!!
