Gluten Free is becoming one of our most popular requests here at Teatime Delicacies, Inc. This year it seems to be in every other contract, at least one or two items that do not contain gluten, and that doesn’t just mean bread or wheat products. Did you know that soy sauce contains gluten? That just means we create menus around those ingredients to serve our customers’ dietary requests.
Silver Dollar Crab Cakes with Roasted Red Bell Pepper Sauce is an easy fix, we simply prepare our regular recipe and substitute Gluten Free bread crumbs. The sauce is already GF, and the appetizer is not only GF it is also Dairy Free, or DF.
At a recent wedding reception in Washington DC we served Bacon Wrapped Dates, again GF as well ad Dairy Free.
At another Northern Virginia wedding we served Sauteed Tenderloin Tips in a Peppercorn Cream, in these darling little spoons. GF.
Our Assorted Domestic and Imported Cheeses and Crackers accompanied by Rice Crackers.

Our famous Gazpacho Shooters can be made with Gluten Free bread for a refreshing spring or summer appetizer when our local farmer’s markets are brimming with awesome tomatoes.

These are examples of GF appetizers you can select for your wedding reception cocktail hour, or any event you want to celebrate. So many regular appetizers can be retooled to Gluten Free, although not ALL recipes adapt. Please feel free to run ideas by Ruth, and if we can’t substitute directly, we are confident we can brainstorm some ideas and come up with the perfect menu.
