Doesn’t sipping a glass of local wine while enjoying the Virginia countryside sound…awesome?!  How about considering a celebration at a winery?  It doesn’t necessarily have to be a full scale wedding reception, but something smaller in scale such as an engagement party.  Catering By Teatime had the opportunity to cater a small engagement party at Quattro Goomba’s Winery www.goombawine.com

 The tasting room is a rustic log built facility complete with front and rear decks and stone built fireplace.  It offers scenic vistas of the Loudoun countryside.  Its rustic charm is ideal for both casual and formal indoor catered affairs for small parties up to 60 guests.

Our couple started the party with drinks and an Appetizer Display that included Assorted Domestic and Imported Cheeses and Crackers; Fresh Vegetable Basket with Hollowed Cabbage filled with Dip; Sugar Spiced Apple Wood Smoked Salmon File with French Bread; and Passed Silver Dollar Crab Cakes with Roasted Red Bell Pepper Sauce.

Catering By Teatime Cheese Display

Cheese – Teatime caters with lots of cheese, what can I say?!  A typical display includes wedges of Brie with a Raspberry-Walnut-Cranberry Topping; Marbled Cheddar Colby; Extra Sharp Cheddar; Smoked Edam; Goat Cheese with a Blueberry Vanilla Coating; and a Balsamic Fig Goat Cheese.

This would be a perfect menu for the fast approaching Holiday Party Season 2015.  How cool would the office party be catered at a local winery?

We set up a catering kitchen in a back room of the venue and was able to produce a delicious buffet menu that included Ruth’s House Salad of Mixed Greens, Tomato, Scallion, Dried Cranberry, Pecans, Gorgonzola in a Balsamic Vinaigrette; Chicken Marsala; Linguini with Sun Dried Tomato, Cilantro and Parmesan; Deviled Eggs (special request for the bride); Fresh Fruit Arrangement; Fresh Bread Basket; and Assorted of Bite Sized Desserts which included Mini Pecan Pie Bites – Raspberry Truffle Brownie Bites – New York Cheesecake with Raspberry Sauce Bites.
The venue provided the wine and assorted non alcoholic beverages.  Quattro Goomba’s is Italian for four close friends and defines the heart of this winery’s business.  Catering By Teatime adds the perfect touch for a truly memorable event.
