OK.  Now that we have that out of the way, this is the sunset at
Cabell’s Mill, one of our favorite wedding reception venues, this photo taken by staff person Gio.

Cabell’s Mill is one of Fairfax County’s Historic Properties here
in Northern Virginia, and a charming venue for a wedding ceremony as
well as wedding reception. Located conveniently off of Route 66 and
Route 28, ample parking and a lovely park setting.
 
This ceremony took place on the back patio.  Given the
unpredictable weather, we tented the patio and set up chairs for the
ceremony and 120 guests.

After the ceremony, chairs can be brought inside for guest
seating, or for this event we clustered them in groups and added bistro
tables so we could have inside as well as outside seating.  This pack
patio has a wonderful wooded landscape overlooking a creek.

Immediately following the ceremony the guests enjoyed a variety of
heavy cocktail menu items including Grilled Indonesian Chicken on
Bamboo Skewers, Fresh Fruit Arrangement, Assorted Domestic and Imported
Cheeses and Crackers, Chilled Shrimp, Silver Dollar Crab Cakes w/
Roasted Red Bell Pepper Sauce, Sweet and Sour Meatballs, Bruschetta,
Vegetable Basket and California/Vegetarian Sushi Rolls
